Weekly Vocabulary, March 21

1. Word / Phrase: Gypsum Board

Meaning: Wallboard composed primarily of gypsum and often used as sheathing.

Context: The wall behind the library is a gypsum board, when you punch it it feels like there's nothing inside

2. Word / Phrase: Concrete

Meaning: An artificial, stonelike material used for various structural purposes, made by mixing cement and various aggregates, as sand, pebbles, gravel, or shale, with water and allowing the mixture to harden

Context: The constructor ask for 200 trucks of concrete to build the base of the building.

3. Word / Phrase: HVAC

Meaning: Stand for Heating, Ventilating, and air conditioning.

Context: Instead of saying heating, ventilating, and air conditioning achitect shorten them by saying HVAC.

4. Word / Phrase: Renovation

Meaning: To restore to good condition; make new or as if new again; repair.

Context: Mentor Sheryl is working in a renovation project, the house is about 100 years old

5. Word / Phrase: Biggie

Meaning: Something that is very large, important, impressive, or successful

Context: The magazines on the left corner are no biggie.

On March 20th you have completed the biggest part of your job. But what was it? You're not teling us what the biggest part of your job was. Be more specific by usung details. Anyway, I'm glad you've learned some new vocabulary words this week. Keep learning!!!!
