1. Where did you go to college? For how long? Do you plan to go back to school?
Texas Christian University for about five years. And University of Texas for five years. I don't have in mind to go back to school
2. What was your major in college and what kind of degree do you earn?
I earned a degree in fine art and her major is architecture.
3. What got you involved in this field of work? What inspired you to do it?
I chose architecture because i after getting my degree in fine art, I didn't see myself doing that kind of work all my life. I tried to find something that would combined what I love to do which is art with something else. Architect looks like a perfect match. That's why I got involved in this field and I love it.
4. Why did you choose this job?
I chose this job because i admire the kind of worked Specht Harpman does.
5. How long have you worked here?
Almost two years
6. What do your duties include? Or What kinds of work does your job involve?
Construction drawing, Interact with clients and constructor. Supervise construction.
7. What are some of the challenges you have faced working here?
Clients constructor negotiation
8. What is the best part of your job?
Sketching
9. What is something you would like to change about your job?
I will like to do more community work, like churches, museum. Different types of work.
10. Did you work somewhere else before this job? Where? For how long? How was that similar/different?
Yes, I worked in a stain glass company two years and in an architectural firm for two months. They both in Texas. I didn't like the kind of worked they gave me. I didn't like it there.
11. What do you see as your future with this company?
I will probably leave and go work other firms
12. Do you enjoy the kind of work you do?
Yes
13. Do you plan to have your own firm one day?
Not yet, but I feel like this job is preparing me for it, because here have to work independently and make decisions.
14. How has having an intern helped your company or organization advance or progress?
Now I have well organize and update library. Also when you ask us questions, it make us go back and think about your prospective. Just like right now, these questions really make think about life.
15. What advice would you give to high school-aged interns (such as myself) getting ready for college and then the real world?
When I was in eleven grade it was really frustrating, I had to pick a major, decided
what college I want to go to. The advice I want to give is stay motivated, don't feel the pressure. Don't feel like it's the end of the world if you pick a major that you can't handle. You can always change major. Don't let yourself worried to much. Relax a little bit.
